Established in 1992 by Robert Trotenberg, as Arbor Associates, we endeavored to offer specialized insurance, financial and advisory services to businesses and families. In 1997 we were invited to join PartnersFinancial, an elite independent national financial services network. In 1999 PartnersFinancial formed a parent company, National Financial Partners (NFP,) which became part of the New York Stock Exchange in 2003. This relationship has allowed us to branch out with a broad portfolio of top-of-the-line corporate and personal life, long term care, disability insurance products and employee benefits services before they are available to the general public. We also provide advice on a wide variety of financial planning issues including retirement and pensions, long-term care, estates, and benefits .
Arbor Group Benefits was formed and became part of Arbor Associates in 2006 when Neil Tarnopol merged his firm, Universal Benefits, with Arbor. This has helped us to better address the unique and complicated needs of our personal and corporate benefits clients.
In 2005 Jules and Carol Einhorn merged their firm, Coordinated Planning Concepts, with Arbor. Finally in 2009 Arbor Associates merged with Howard Silverman’s HSA Corporation to form Arbor Group. These alliances have broadened our expertise in the world of insurance and underwriting.
Our partners, combined, have in excess of 175 years of dedication and experience to offer to our clients and their advisors. In addition to the required federal and state licenses, the professionals at Arbor have earned various advanced professional degrees including Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU), Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC), Certified Long-Term Care Specialist (CLTC), and Registered Health Underwriter (RHU), Chartered Adviser in Philanthropy (CAP). These designations are your assurance of our dedication and experience in the complex world of insurance.
